Randen
Randen Barzel, the last survivor of the lineage of Seth. Sworn to lay down his life in service to the King, he stands against His enemies in search of the lost Garden of Eden.
In Echoes of Eden, Randen is a distant descendant of the lineage of Seth, living in the days of Noah. He is the last surviving warrior of his tribe, a faithful people nearly destroyed in their struggle against the Nephilim and their corrupted followers, who worship the Fallen Angels as gods.
Randen's people believed that the lost Garden of Eden could one day be found, and that the broken relationship between God and humanity could be restored by driving evil from the earth. But despite their faith and courage, their efforts failed. As the world fell deeper into corruption and violence, Randen was defeated in battle; dying consumed by anger, hatred, and despair.
In the realm between Earth and the heavenly domains, Randen encounters Uriel, a messenger from the heavenly realm. Seeing the weight of his resentment and regret, she grants him a second chance; sending him back to Earth not as a conqueror, but as a witness.
Randen's journey is not a curse, but a calling. He becomes a symbolic reflection of humanity itself, chosen to witness the unfolding story of God's relationship with mankind across the ages. Through his eyes, the player will journey through sacred events, ancient kingdoms, divine judgment, and forgotten mysteries buried within the history of the world.
But as Randen walks deeper into the echoes of Eden, one question remains:
“Can what was lost ever truly be found again?”
Echoes of Eden carries players through the defining events of the Old Testament, from the Garden of Eden to the fall of Babylon.
At the center of it is Randen, a warrior descended from the line of Seth, whose choices, combat, and discoveries shape not just his own path, but the fate of everything he encounters along the way.
with even more to come...
Echoes of Eden is being built entirely in Unreal Engine 5, now in its third year of development. Lumen handles lighting and Nanite carries the detail across large-scale environments, while every biblical setting starts as real research, with geographic and geological data pulled from the actual locations before the team shapes it into the game's world.
Combat runs on motion warping and animation montages, backed by a Blueprint-driven pipeline that keeps narrative and level design moving fast.
Every environment, character, and mechanic in Echoes of Eden starts somewhere far less polished than what you'll eventually play. Here's a direct look at that process, straight from inside Unreal Engine, at the stage the project is at
